Clody Cates Maker, sculptor, painter, photographer, designer, performer, model… these are just a few of the ways to describe the myriad talents and boundless energy of artist Clody Cates. Her presence at NIMBY brings a creative energy that instills the sublime in even the most ordinary, and her determined, focused nature always helps propel projects to the next level of excellence whether designing webpages, rehabbing shipping containers, or helping to manage fundraisers and events. Clody’s commitment to NIMBY’s success has proven invaluable over the years. Self-taught in all artistic mediums, no matter what the challenge is, if you can think it, she can make it! Originally from Montreal Canada, she moved to the Bay Area after her first Burning Man experience in 2001. She has since applied many of her talents within the Bay Area art scene and the Burning Man organization and has been an avid full time member of the NIMBY volunteer crew since February 2010. Clody is also a proud member/founder of “Team Good Job“, a team that makes your toughest ideas come to reality, getting the best of the best NIMBY artists together, just to make your wildest dreams come true! Gaige Qualmann As you enter Gaige Qualmann’s space, be prepared to be amazed at every turn as he was diagnosed with Artism at an early age. With only a few hours of playing around with any new medium, this self-taught artist can achieve mastery levels that one can only dream of. From fine painting to sign painting, sculpting, wood working, leather molding, coppersmithing and a multitude of other fabricating and building skills, Gaige has all the skills to turn everything he touches into pure beauty. Originally from the Pacific North West, Gaige moved to Oakland CA in June 2014 and since has been an active member of the NIMBY volunteer core crew. Gaige is also a proud member/founder of “Team Good Job“, a team that makes your toughest ideas come to reality, getting the best of the best NIMBY artists together, just to make your wildest dreams come true!
